July and our 30th Wedding Anniversary

It is hard to believe my best friend and I will be married 30 years at the end of this month! Then again, it feels as though we have always been together. He is my mainstay, my companion as we travel this world together, and my dearest friend! We have had trials in our thirty years but they have always been us against the world, never us against each other and I know that is the only kind we will ever have...my friend, my love!

June is here!

We had an amazing Month of May! For Mother's Day we traveled up north to see our daughter in Duluth and had a fantastic time!

My Twitter following grew from a few people to 1,000! This was probably due to the amount of spare time I devoted to Twitter. I am enjoying it very much and meeting many interesting new people. I will have to write more about this phenomenon!

I am continuing to get stronger and am applying for new jobs because I am feeling so good that I really feel I need a new challenge. Not only have I not been sick since my healing from the stomach ailing, but I am stronger than ever and feeling better than I have in many years!

June should prove to be a very exciting month!

Celebrate!

Today I celebrate the healing of my stomach pains. I never had the surgery that was scheduled for April 16th. God healed me instead! I was prayed for by a pastor friend who I have known since I was a teenager. He came back into my life again through a mutual friend who had been praying for me and my upcoming surgery.

The minute he started to pray the pains began to subside...I was amazed. I had been in pain since before Thanksgiving of 2008. At the time he was praying, was in early April. I was really just hanging on until I could experience some relief following my surgery. I was not expecting God to heal me miraculously, yet He did. When my friend finished praying the pains were gone. I am celebrating a month of pain-free existence today and I am so thankful I have escaped a complex vascular surgery! I celebrate the fact that today all is well and that I serve a loving AND miracle-working God. Thank you, my Lord!

Great Oak Tree

Dedicated to my daughter Abby, the little squirrel I carried.

I am like a great oak tree housing a tiny squirrel
preparing for the winter.

She runs up and down my huge limbs and
jumps from branch to branch, eating
all the foliage.

She is a happy little squirrel.

When are you coming out to play little one?

When the sun is shining?

This is a poem I wrote and dedicated to my daughter when I was carrying her. I was like a great tree and she was like a boisterous squirrel exercising in the winter. (Poetry.com)
