Great Oak Tree

Dedicated to my daughter Abby, the little squirrel I carried.

I am like a great oak tree housing a tiny squirrel
preparing for the winter.

She runs up and down my huge limbs and
jumps from branch to branch, eating
all the foliage.

She is a happy little squirrel.

When are you coming out to play little one?

When the sun is shining?

This is a poem I wrote and dedicated to my daughter when I was carrying her. I was like a great tree and she was like a boisterous squirrel exercising in the winter. (Poetry.com)
